Personal cameras / camera phones – pictures are encouraged! A pen – In fact, we recommend it for keeping track of your favorite beers/breweries so you remember for later. We will be offering a cool app (My Brewfest) to rate your beers and be a part of the social fun. We will now allow lawn chairs to be brought in! You may bring a small, empty bag/backpack to put your merchandise that you buy at the Brew Fest– but do not bring anything in the bag (subject to inspection). No “non-Gettysburg Brew Fest” glasses or cups are allowed in the event. Brewers will NOT pour into non-approved Brew Fest glasses/mugs/steins.
You are not allowed to enter the festival with: weapons of any kind, illegal substances, outside food or beverage -including alcohol, glass containers (including other brew festival pints) of any kind, large backpacks, fireworks and explosives, instruments and laser pointers, picnic baskets, tents, pets (except service dogs), professional camera or video equipment, coolers of any kind. You are NOT allowed to bring beer in for “trading” at this event.
There will be shade canopies and limited tables and chairs for your use– most people don’t sit down at the Brew Fest, so you should not have a problem!
Plan ahead for transportation – It is important to have a plan for how to get safely home from the fest. Please arrange a designated driver, take a taxi, or take public transportation if possible.
Wear sunscreen – We try our best to keep lines short, but they’re inevitable. At an outdoor fest, you know you’ll be standing in the sun at least a bit, so it’s important to protect your exposed skin with sunscreen. It’s also a good idea to bring a hat and/or sunglasses.
Stay hydrated – Yes, beer is refreshing, but you need to make sure you’re getting enough water too. If drinking water isn’t available, it can be purchased from the food vendors. Have a game plan for hydration.
Bring cash for food and souvenirs – It’s always faster and easier on our vendors if you bring cash!
Have an idea of which breweries you want to hit first – Breweries bring a set amount of beer, so some styles may run out and not be available for the entirety of the festival. Plan ahead by making a mental or physical list of the beers you don’t want to miss to ensure you get to taste them!
Don’t drink on an empty stomach – Food is available for purchase from 6+ cool food trucks this year (we listened to you when you said you want more variety and shorter lines!)
Please note that the brewery and cidery roster is subject to change / substitution
